I'll be in Memphis this week, attending the Brizo Blogger 19 Reunion.
Last September, I was invited by Brizo, the premier faucet brand, to participate in their Brizo Fashion Week event. For this event, Brizo invites a select group of design bloggers to New York City during Fashion Week to learn about the Brizo brand, build relationships with the Brizo team and fellow bloggers, and view the runway show of the fabulous fashion designer, Jason Wu, whom Brizo sponsors. The invitees have become known as the "Blogger 19." There have now been seven Brizo Fashion Week events in the last 3 years, and Brizo has decided to bring all the Blogger 19s -- now numbering about 130 -- to Memphis for a reunion.
Why Memphis? For one, we'll be touring one of Brizo's nearby manufacturing facilities. But more importantly, we'll be spending an entire day at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Three years ago, Brizo became the first national sponsor of St. Jude's Dream Home Giveaway program. This program raffles new homes, built with donations of products and services, like Brizo faucets, with the proceeds going to fund St. Jude's research in the treatment and cure of childhood cancers. It looks like we'll also be touring one of these Dream Homes. Fodder for us design bloggers!.
